— FRENCH INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY ASSOCIATION
Created in 2008, ATIA designs and implements concrete development aid programmes to fight extreme poverty in a lasting way. ATIA works in urban and semi-urban areas (slums, undeveloped land) in India, Madagascar, Burkina Faso and Togo, through local associations that it has created and supports until they become technically and financially autonomous.
OUR APPROACH
ATIA works with the most vulnerable people by running development programmes through local associations that it creates, then supports until they are fully autonomous organisationally, operationally and financially.
Born in 2008 as a spin-off of Inter Aide, ATIA shares the same conviction: the best solutions emerge from proximity to communities and from co-construction with local stakeholders on the ground.
3 MAIN AREAS OF INTERVENTION
• 4 countries
• 14 programmes run by and with local partners
• 55,497 beneficiary families, i.e. around 220,000 people
• Total expenses: €3.4 million
• Average cost / family / year: €63
RESULTS AND IMPACT
ATIA programmes combine methodological rigour with deep local roots, producing measurable and lasting improvements in the living conditions of the most vulnerable families.
